Cash For Critters

Don't throw away empty ink jet and laser print cartridges. Send them to AWAG! They can be recycled and re-used. Each recycled cartridge earns us between $1 and $5. This money goes directly toward the spay/neuter program, vet care, shelter, food and many other supplies. Cartridges can be dropped off at Jefferson Gallery on Main Street in Appomattox.

CANS

Community Assisted Neuter and Spay: Save your empty aluminum soda cans. Drop them off in the bright green container located at the 460 Triangle Shopping center on the Rt. 24 side.

VA License Plates

In 1996, Virginia passed legislation authorizing the sale of specialty revenue sharing plates. Citizens wishing to help animals pay an additional fee of $25 per year for these plates. $15 of this fee goes to the jurisdiction in which the plates were purchased. AWAG will share in the proceeds on every plate purchased! For more information or to order your license plate go to Virginia's DMV website

Vet Help

Donate money toward AWAG's vet bills. You can pay the vet's office directly and have the money go toward AWAG's bill. For a list of participating vets click here.

Volunteers

AWAG volunteers donate their time, their efforts, their specialties and their home (to foster animals). If you think you might be interested in becoming an AWAG volunteer, Contact Us.
